EXPLOSION-PROOF ACOUSTIC SENSOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an explosion-proof acoustic sensor having excellent weatherability and environmental resistance even when a sensor main part is placed in a dangerous material handling area. SOLUTION: The sensor main part 11 installed in the dangerous material handling area is equipped with a casing 110, a vibrating membrane 111 which is provided in the casing 110, a laser light receiving section 112 which is connected to one end of an optical cable 13 within the casing 110, irradiates the vibrating membrane 111 with the laser light, and receives the laser light reflected from the vibrating membrane 111, and a waterproof member 113 which covers the entire part of the casing 110. For this purpose, the important portions, such as the vibrating membrane 111 and the laser light receiving section 112 are covered not only by the casing 110 but by the waterproof member 113 as well and therefore, the explosion-proof acoustic sensor can exhibit the sufficient explosion-proof function and can provide the strong weatherability and environmental resistance to storm, etc. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
