EXHAUST DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust device capable of making ventilation through an exhaust hole formed in the side of a cooking apparatus with a heater, free of giving a sense of discomfort to a person in cooking due to the exhaust stream, assuring an open sense of the space around the cooking apparatus, capable of establishing a high ventilating efficiency, and of simplifying the device installation. SOLUTION: The exhaust device 10 includes an exhaust passage 5 furnished with an opening 4 in the exterior wall surface 2a and having communication to the exhaust hole opened in a vertical wall surface 2 besides the electromagnetic cooking apparatus 1 installed in a kitchen in a building, and in order to perform ventilation of the area around the electromagnetic cooking apparatus 1 via the exhaust passage 5, the device 10 is attached to the opening 4 of the exhaust passage 5. The exhaust hole 3 is fitted with a grille 8 furnished with a plurality of straightening vanes 8a. The device 10 is equipped with an exhaust influx port 12 having a rectangular cross-section connected with the opening 4 in the exterior wall surface 2a of the building and a centrifugal fan 14 to work in such a condition as in communication with the exhaust influx port 12 for sucking the exhaust from cooking at a high wind speed via a suction port 13 installed in the downstream and exhausting outdoors.
