DIGITAL BROADCAST RECORDING AND REPRODUCING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast recording and reproducing apparatus capable of recording a formal program name as the identification name of a recorded program. SOLUTION: Program contents are received by a digital broadcast receiving means 1, EPG information is acquired by an EPG information acquisition means 2, and program information selected by user is stored in a recording reservation information storage means 5 as recording reserved program information. When the program contents are recorded by a program contents recording means 6, in accordance with the recording reserved program information, at the time of recording that program information in a recorded program information recording means 7 as recorded program information, attribute information is extracted from the program contents under recording by an attribute information extraction means 8, and a program name and sub title of the recorded program information recorded in the recorded program information recording means are replaced with a program name, and a sub title extracted by the attribute information extraction means by a program name replacing means 9.
