PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera capable of selecting the number of pixels at a time when only a part of an image data photographed by an image sensing element is recorded. SOLUTION: The specified field-angle range of a part is set in a screen within a total field-angle range displayed by a display means, and the number of the pixels at a time when a total field-angle range is recorded is set in the number of the pixels smaller than the total number of photo-detectors. The digital camera has a setting means capable of setting the number of the pixels recorded at the time when only the image data within the specified field-angle range is recorded in either of the setting of the recording of the same number of the pixels recorded as photoreceiving pixels contained within the specified field-angle range or the setting of the recording by the number of the pixels recorded larger than the same number of the pixels recorded as the photoreceiving pixels in this case.
