Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for optical recording which is highly sensitive and capable of performing high multiplex recording; to provide a hologram type optical recording medium which can attain high multiplex recording of interference images formed by an information beam and a reference beam, and its preparation method; and to provide an optical recording method and an optical recording apparatus using the optical recording medium. SOLUTION: The composition for optical recording is provided, in which the content of the moiety having photopolymerization initiating capability in the binder, which is formed by the bonding of the moiety having photopolymerization initiating capability, is preferably 0.3-6 parts by mass in the solids of the whole composition for optical recording.
