SOLUTION: This magnet driving circuit 1 comprises a DC conversion part 3 converging an AC power voltage VAC1to VAC3to a DC power voltage VDC, an H-bridge circuit part 4 controlling the direction of an exciting current to a lifting magnet 2, an energy absorbing part 5 having a transistor 51 and a resistance element 53 connected in series to each other and a capacitor 54 connected parallel with the transistor 51 and the resistance element 53 and absorbing the energy accumulated in the lifting magnet 2 when the direction of the exciting current is changed, and a control part 6 controlling the conductive state of the energy absorbing part 5 in the transistor 51 according to the direction and magnitude of the current flowing in a positive side power line 7 between the H-bridge circuit part 4 and the energy absorbing part 5 and the potential between the positive side power line 7 and a negative side power line 8.
