Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reforming catalyst exhibiting reactivity to both of a catalytic/partial oxidation reaction and a steam reforming reaction, to provide a structure of the reforming catalyst, and to provide a reforming method and an operation method using the reforming catalyst. SOLUTION: The reforming catalyst, which is used at a reforming step, consists of a mixed compound obtained by mixing magnesium oxide (MgO), on which a noble metal element belonging to any of group VIII, group IX or group X in the periodic table is deposited, with a solid solution formed from nickel (Ni) and magnesium oxide by a predetermined mixing ratio so that the operation temperature is set within 700-1,200°C at the reforming step of reforming a hydrocarbon-based gas by utilizing the heat to be generated by the exothermic catalytic/partial oxidation reaction in the endothermic steam reforming reaction to produce a hydrogen-containing gaseous mixture.
