FIXED PATTERN NOISE ELIMINATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate fixed pattern noise without causing inversion of a pixel signal. SOLUTION: The fixed pattern noise eliminator 10 comprises a receiving section 11, a subtracting section 13, a comparing section 14, a selecting selection 15, and a correcting section 16. The receiving section 11 receives an image signal and a black signal. The subtracting section 13 subtracts the black signal from the image signal to generate an effective signal. The comparing section 14 compares the signal strength of the effective signal with a threshold delivered from a system controller 23. The selecting selection 15 selects the effective signal if the threshold is larger than the signal strength of the effective signal, otherwise selects the threshold.
