Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a polyester monofilament for screen gauze, having excellent fiber diameter uniformity. SOLUTION: The melt spinning method of a polyester monofilament for screen gauze by using a polyester having ≤270°C melting peak temperature in a differential scanning calorimetry and 0.45-1.20 intrinsic viscosity comprises, in melt spinning of a monofilament, using an extruder having ≤50ppm oxygen concentration at a chip supply part and ≤295°C chip melt temperature, keeping the retention time of ≤20 minutes for the polymer from the biting of chips in an extruder screw to discharging at a spinneret and controlling the spinning temperature ≤295°C.
