Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-disintegrable sheet which exhibits a good water-disintegrating property, when flowed in a toilet, has excellent touch, and is hardly broken in a state wetted with a liquid containing a salt, such as urine. SOLUTION: This water-disintegrable sheet consisting mainly of short fibers is characterized by containing a carboxylic acid-modified polyvinyl alcohol and an adhesive polymer as a binder for binding the short fibers. The water-disintegrable sheet, wherein 100 pts.wt. of the carboxylic acid-modified polyvinyl alcohol is preferably compounded with 0.1 to 5.0 pts.wt. of a water-soluble inorganic salt.
