ELECTRONIC TRIP DEVICE EQUIPPED WITH MONITORING MEANS, CIRCUIT BREAKER EQUIPPED WITH SUCH TRIP DEVICE, AND MONITORING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic trip device having high level availability and safety. SOLUTION: The trip device is equipped with at least one current sensor 4, an actuator 6 and an electronic processing unit 5 controlling the actuator with regard to the electronic trip device and the circuit breaker equipped with the electronic trip device. The electronic processing unit is equipped with a monitoring means 31 for monitoring the connecting state of at least one current sensor, and/or a monitoring means for monitoring the connecting state of the actuator; and a displaying means 32 for displaying the operating state of the trip device. These monitoring means act on the displaying means for displaying the state of the connection of at least one current sensor and/or actuator. The method for monitoring the connecting state of the electronic trip device includes a step of controlling the monitoring of the connection state and the displaying of the connection state.
