PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera apparatus capable of photographing a still picture with high image quality by suppressing a camera shake in photographing the still picture without using a strobe unit at a place wherein the luminous quantity is insufficient. SOLUTION: When the luminous quantity around an object is small, a signal processing section 4 controls a frequency multiplier section 5 to decrease an exposure time of an imaging element 2, the signal processing section 4 produces a plurality of pictures on the basis of electric signals output from the imaging element 2, and an image composite section 7 synthesizes the pictures output from the signal processing section 4 to produce one picture.
