PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive digital camera based on a new technique which can acquire photographer information when an image of a subject is picked up without using a finder to confirm a picked-up image. SOLUTION: The digital camera is provided with first and second photographing units each including a photographing lens, an imaging device, and an image processor; a photographing instructing unit for instructing photographing using the first photographing unit; and a recording unit for recording an image data file of an image of a subject picked up with the first photographing unit. The recording unit causes the first photographing unit to pick up a first image and a second photographing unit to pick up a second image in response to a photographing instruction signal input from the photographing instruction unit, and causes the recording unit to record information about the second image in association with an image data file of the first image.
