SOLUTION: The cable with the water impervious layer 21 comprises a cable core 2 including conductor 5, an inner semiconductive layer 6, an insulator 7, an outer semiconductive layer 8, a sheath 3 formed outside the cable core 2, and the water impervious layer 4 between the core 2 and the sheath 3. Between the water impervious layer 4 and the cable core 2, the cable 21 has an insulation permeable layer 23, which exhibits insulation and water permeability at the same time, and an inner conductive part 24 and an outer conductive part 25 on the inside and on the outside the insulation permeable layer 23, respectively.
