Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording and reproducing device by which necessary information can be output and displayed as a utilization mark associated with a folder on the basis of management history information of each content file included in the folder, in the recording and reproducing device provided with management function of the content file by the folder so that the utilization status, etc., of the content file in the folder can be obtained without successively referring to the inside of the folder by a user. SOLUTION: The content file is managed by using a plurality of folders in a content file management section, and the various management history information regarding the content file is held by a management history information holding section to decide in a GUI section on the basis of the management history information of each content file included in the folder, then, the appropriate utilization mark is obtained from the result to output the mark in association with the folder mark of the folder.
