Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a cavity from forming in an aluminum matrix composite originating from a gas remaining in a gap between powders and a gas which does not get out from a molten aluminum alloy and is left therein. SOLUTION: A production apparatus has a heating means 35 which includes upper heat sources 41 and 41 positioned above a crucible 14, central heat sources 42 and 42 positioned in the center and lower heat sources 43 and 43 positioned in a lower part, and which can separately control these upper/central/lower heat sources 41 to 43. The third step in the production method includes lowering the temperature of the aluminum matrix composite having the molten aluminum alloy penetrated therein, at a higher speed VT2 in the lower part 21 than a speed VT4 in the upper part 18, by using the heating means 35. Then, the aluminum alloy continues a molten state in the upper part, and consequently the gas contained in the gap between the powders and the gas involved in the molten aluminum alloy flows to and gathers in the upper part.
