Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating device capable of stably discharging coating liquid for long time. SOLUTION: On a process of forming a crystalline MgO layer of the PDP, a cooling device 511A, cooling the coating liquid 501 so that the temperature thereof becomes lower than boiling point of solvent by 30°C or more, is arranged on a coating liquid tank 511 storing coating liquid 501 prepared by dispersing MgO powder in the solvent by a sprat method. A layer of powdered-MgO crystal, to be turned into the crystalline MgO layer by baking, is formed by discharging the stored coating liquid 501 by a spray gun 514. The temperature of the flowing coating liquid 501 is kept lower than the boiling point of the solvent by 30°C until it is discharged. By the above, such a phenomenon that the MgO powder becomes easy to coagulate or separate in accordance with the increase of temperature can be prevented by a simple constitution, and an appropriate coating with stable discharging quantity can be performed.
