DEVICE FOR GENERATING GRAMMAR OF SPECIFIC LANGUAGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for generating a grammar of a specific language such as Chinese, which is robust and effective against machine translation in limited defined corpus without needing complicated linguistic analysis. SOLUTION: A system 30 which generates a grammar includes a category table 40, and some categories include specific words. The system 30 further includes; a rule candidate extraction module 44 which generates a grammar rule candidate 46 from Chinese corpus 42 with reference to a category table 40; a rule correction module 50 which corrects a grammar rule candidate 46 and outputs a basic rule 52; a parse module 54 which parses a test sentence using a basic rule 52 and outputs a parse tree 56; a rule correction module 58 which corrects the basic rule 52 so that an error in the parse tree 56 is corrected.
