IMAGE COMPOSITION DEVICE AND IMAGE COLLATION DEVICE USING THE SAME AND IMAGE COMPOSITION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image composition device for acquiring an actually matched registration image group even when the illumination intensity of a bootstrap image for generating a statistical model is extremely different from the intensity of a registration image. SOLUTION: This image composition device is provided with an illumination condition estimating part 41 for estimating illumination conditions including illumination direction and illumination intensity for an object in a first image from the luminance value of the first image; a normal information estimation part 42 for estimating normal information including the normal direction of the object of prescribed pixels in the first image; an error component information estimation part 43 for estimating the information of any error component other than diffuse reflection components among the illuminance values of the prescribed pixels of the first image, and for estimating the information of the error components under the prescribed illumination conditions from the estimated information of the error components; and an image composing part 45 for compounding the second image of the object under the prescribed illumination conditions.
