PHOTOGRAPHING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect the electrical contact between a lens barrel and a main body and to improve design. SOLUTION: A digital camera 10 includes the camera main body 11 and a lens unit (lens barrel) 12 attached to the camera main body 11 so as to be freely detachable. The camera main body 11 has a flat-plate-like connecting part 31 connected to its front face so as to be freely opened or closed. The electrical contact 31a is disposed at the end of the back face of the connecting part 21. The lens unit 12 has an insertion part 22 in which the connecting part 31 is inserted while being kept opened in the direction of the front. Another electrical contact that comes into contact with an electrical contact 31a when the connecting part 31 is inserted is disposed in the insertion part 22. When the connecting part 31 is closed so as to cover a mount section 30 with the lens unit 12 detached, the electrical contact 31a is hidden inside and protected. The insertion part 22 is provided with a lid member, which closes the insertion opening when the connecting part 31 is not inserted and withdraws from the insertion opening when the connecting part 31 is inserted.
