Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device of an internal combustion engine and an exhaust emission control method for an internal combustion engine capable of removing NOx without discharging urea as a reducer into the atmosphere. SOLUTION: This exhaust emission control device of the internal combustion engine comprises an oxidation catalyst and an SCR catalyst disposed on the downstream side of the oxidation catalyst, is installed in the exhaust passage of the internal combustion engine, and purifies the exhaust gases discharged from the internal combustion engine. The exhaust emission control method uses the exhaust emission control device. The exhaust emission control device comprises a measurement means for measuring the concentrations of NO and NO2in the exhaust gases flowing to the SCR catalyst and a setting means for setting the jetted amount of the reducer in the SCR catalyst correspondingly to the value of the lower concentration of the concentrations of NO and NO2.
