Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording sheet which has a uniform and smooth ink absorbing layer hardly causing film cracking and which is superior in printability, and a method which enables the sheet to be manufactured with proper productivity at a high speed without causing the dimensional error and waviness of a base material. SOLUTION: The inkjet recording sheet, in which the ink absorbing layer is formed on at least either of the front and back sides of the base material, is characterized as follows: the ink absorbing layer is formed by applying a coating slip by means of a curtain coater; at least a pigment and a viscosity reducing agent are mixed into the coating slip; and the pigment is at least two kinds of mixed pigments different in a mean particle diameter of 0.9-3.0 μm.
