FLOW CONTROL METHOD AND REPEATER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a flow control method and a repeater which makes the flow control for each priority class for a plurality of queues to which different priority classes are assigned. SOLUTION: When deciding that the quantity of data stored in queues 131-1, 131-2 exceeds a predetermined stop threshold, a queue write controller 12 of an ONU 1 sends a flow control message to a GW 2, including the priority class and the stop time of the queues 131-1, 131-2 exceeding the stop threshold. Upon receipt of the flow control message, a queue read controller 21 of the GW 2 stops reading data frames stored in the queues 231-1, 231-2 of the assigned priority class contained in the flow control message, until the stop time contained in the flow control message elapses after receiving the flow control message.
