Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation method of a fuel cell system capable of preventing deterioration of a fuel cell. SOLUTION: When the fuel cell system is started (S11), a carbon monoxide supply step supplying fuel containing much carbon monoxide to the fuel cell and a power generation starting step (S15) starting the power generation of the fuel cell from first temperature lower than usual power generation temperature of the fuel cell are included. When the fuel cell system is stopped, the carbon monoxide supply step, a cell cooling step cooling the fuel cell to second temperature lower than the usual power generation temperature of the fuel cell, and a power generation stop step set after the cell cooling step and stopping the power generation of the fuel cell are included.
