IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent toner from melting in a developing apparatus by efficiently dissipating heat in a regulating member for regulating the amount of supplied toner in the developing apparatus with a simple structure saved in occupancy space. SOLUTION: The developing apparatus 60 of the image forming apparatus 1 is provided with a regulating plate 69 above a developing roller 62, which is the regulating member for forming a thin layer of toner on the surface of the developing roller 62 to regulate the amount of the toner supplied to the surface of the photoreceptor drum 31. A gap 70 of a specified width is provided between a bottom edge of the regulating plate 69 and the surface of the developing roller 62. The regulating plate 69 has a heat dissipation plate 71 stuck to a surface on a side facing the photoreceptor drum 31. The heat dissipation member 71 is composed of a ceramic heat dissipation body and is in a flat plate state extending in parallel to an axial direction of the developing roller 62 or is a sheet like member. Thus, the heat dissipation of the regulating member 69 can be assisted without securing a large space between the regulating plate 69 and the photoreceptor drum 31. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
