Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which enables easy and quick erasure of an image formed on the surface of a recording medium such as paper, without deterioration of a mechanical strength of the recording medium, recycling of a used recording medium at a low cost and thus reuse of resources. SOLUTION: In this method for erasing the image, the image formed by giving ink containing coloring matter to the recording medium is exposed to oxidizing gas so as to be erased. Before the exposure to the oxidizing gas, at least one kind of liquid selected from the group consisting of solutions each containing an organic solvent, water and the oxidizing gas is stuck to the image.
