Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a removal apparatus for magnetic foreign substances capable of effectively removing foreign substances from objects to be treated such as granulated bodies and liquid with magnetic attraction, and extending a maintenance period. SOLUTION: A pair of poles 6a, 6b of an electromagnet 4 faces across the full width of a transport surface 3a of an inclined trough 3. The facing surfaces of these poles 6a, 6b are formed with a plurality of recesses 9 and projections 10 extending in the transport direction so as to mutually face the recesses 9 and the projections 10 respectively. As a result, over a wide range section of the plurality of mutually faced projections 10 where the magnetic force between the poles 6a, 6b are strengthened, the magnetic foreign substances B are effectively attracted on the transport surface 3a and the projections 10 of the pole 6a. In the section where the recesses 9 extending in the transport direction are mutually faced, the magnetic foreign substances B are not magnetically attracted on the transport surface 3a, thereby smoothly transporting the objects to be treated through the sections where the magnetic foreign substances B are not magnetically attracted, thus extending the maintenance period.
