Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bar coater capable of ensuring a uniform quality of a coating surface by preventing generation of failure of the coating surface by suppressing oscillation of a coating bar, and a bar coating method using the bar coater. SOLUTION: A bearing member 26 is arranged on one end portion of the coating bar 16. The bearing member 26 has a bearing 28 rotatably supporting the coating bar 16; a bearing base 40 for supporting the bearing 28; and a bearing cover 42 for clamping and retaining the bearing 28 between the bearing base 40 and it. Since the bearing 28 is fixed, oscillation (especially deflection width at rotation) of the coating bar 16 is reduced. Thereby, generation of failure of the surface quality such as flipping and coating stripe caused by oscillation of the coating bar 16 is prevented and the uniform quality of the coating surface can be steadily obtained.
