PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal that can easily transmit additional information in addition to presence information when the presence information is received, can easily perform renaming in reception, and can grasp and identify the content of a contact list readily. SOLUTION: The communication terminal has a presence information acquisition means 23b capable of receiving the presence information. The communication terminal has, as main features, a control means for highlighting the display name to be identified in the list of the display name according to set display conditions, when the presence information is received from other terminals.
