HARD DISK DRIVE WITH DESTRUCTIVE FUNCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an HDD with a destructive function capable of mechanically destroying a surface of a platter and quickly erasing accumulated content with simplified structure and one quick operation. SOLUTION: The surface of the platter is ground by the filing body by rotating the platter 3 by contacting a friction disk 19 to an edge of circumference of the platter 3 by operation of slightly pulling the other end of a second linear body 31 led out outside a case 1 or on a surface of a personal computer, elastically contacting filing bodies 6, 6, extended in radius direction of the platter 3 and biased by a first linear body 28 in the direction toward the surface of the platter, on the surface of the platter by releasing a stopper 12 latched at a wide opened position, and by pulling the second linear body 31.
