Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a front structure of an engine capable of suppressing the vibration of a timing cover while securing the function of an endless band guide and securing the support function of the engine. SOLUTION: This front structure of the engine comprises an endless band 46 for driving camshaft 16, 17 disposed at a cylinder head 6 by the output of a crankshaft 14, the endless band guide 76 guiding the endless band, and a timing cover 40 covering the endless band and the endless band guide. The outer peripheral end and the intermediate part of the timing cover are fastened to the front of the engine with bolts 104. The endless band guide comprises an opening 76e passed through the endless band guide in the longitudinal direction of the engine. The bolts at the intermediate part of the timing cover are fastened to the front of the engine through the opening of the endless band guide. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
