Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder production apparatus which keeps an adequate reaction temperature and prevents production of impurities when producing a powder through a flame spray pyrolysis method. SOLUTION: The powder production apparatus 1 has an upright cylindrical powder production tower 5 equipped with a spray means 7 that sprays an aqueous material solution into the interior of the tower and a plurality of flame-spurting nozzles 8 that spurt flame toward the interior of the tower. The plurality of flame-spurting nozzles 8, each of which is slanted at a certain angle against a plane horizontal to the radial direction of the powder production tower 5, is arranged in a spiral manner at slightly different heights.
