Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate management and maintenance of a spare part by communalizing a control device of a converter for electric power for a railway vehicle regardless that the converter for electric power, i.e., an object to be controlled is equipped with a cooling blower or is not equipped with the blower. SOLUTION: The control device 1 of the converter 3 for the electric power mounted on the vehicle constituting an electric railway vehicle is provided with a semiconductor element temperature operation formula storage part 12 for storing at least two a temperature operation formulae for operating the temperature of the semiconductor element of the converter for the electric power, i.e., the object to be controlled; a blower existence information output part 14 for outputting blower existence information indicating whether or not the converter for the electric power, i.e., the object to be controlled has the cooling blower; and an activation allowance determination part 11 for determining whether or not activation of the converter for the electric power, i.e., the object to be controlled is allowed. The control device is provided with a control part 15 of converter for electric power for taking out one operation formula from the semiconductor element temperature operation formula storage part based on the blower existence information, operating the temperature of the semiconductor element using the operation formula and controlling action of the converter for the electric power based on the temperature of the semiconductor element.
