ROLLER FOR ROLLER BEARING AND PRODUCING METHOD THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller for a roller bearing and a producing method therefor by which a producing cost can be made to low by reducing the thickness for grinding work in after-process, and also forming load can be stabilized. SOLUTION: The method for producing the roller for a roller bearing, producing the roller 30 with a cold-forging from a solid-blank 10 is provided with; a process for push-out forming a bottomed hole 12 on both end surfaces in the axial direction of the solid blank 10; and a process for sizing-forming by compressing the blank 15 push-out formed in the axial direction while using a movable-side die 13 and a fixing-side die 14. The sizing-forming process is performed, by which a gap C in the axial direction during forming with the movable-side die 13 and the fixing-side die 14, is positioned at the shaft directional portion having no-forming the bottomed hole 12 in the push-out formation, and at least a part of the inner peripheral surface of the bottomed hole 12 is formed under non-restricting state.
