DISK UNIT AND DISK LOADING MECHANISM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk unit of a slot-in system compatible with optical disks of different diameters and having a simple configuration and its loading mechanism. SOLUTION: The disk unit is equipped with; a disk stopper 101 which regulates a storage position of an optical disk; a stopper arm 102 which regulates a moving range of the disk stopper 101; a connecting member 103 which can move interlocked with the stopper arm 102; and a cam slider 30 which can engage with the connecting member 103. When a small diameter disk is inserted, a first engagement section of the connecting member 103 and a first engagement section of the cam slider 30 is engaged. When a large diameter disk is inserted, the large diameter disk presses and displaces a disk contact section 103b of the connecting member 103, and a second engagement section of the connecting member 103 and a second engagement section of the cam slider 30 is engaged. According to the engagement position of the connecting member 103 and the cam slider 30, the stopper arm 102 changes the storage position of a disk medium which the disk stopper 101 regulates.
