Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device capable of photographing images near the center of an optical system, while achieving short processing time, even when images of small-sized components are photographed by the use of a long, one-dimensional imaging device that corresponds to the imaging of large-sized components. SOLUTION: The imaging device includes a light-receiving element array 121 comprising a plurality of light-receiving elements arranged in a line for producing an electric charge, corresponding to the quantity of light received; a shift register 122 for receiving the electric charge produced by each light-receiving element and for outputting the electric charge received to an output part; a shift gate 123 for permitting or inhibiting the electric charge produced by each light-receiving element to be transferred to the shift register; an optical system 125 disposed between the light-receiving element array 121 and the subject P of image pickup; two light-blocking plates 131 for blocking light at each end of the light-receiving element array 121; and a light-blocking device 130 having a drive means for driving the two light-blocking plates in the longitudinal direction of the light-receiving element array so as to continuously vary the range of light blocking.
