OPTICAL MEMBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical member having a photochromic coating layer superior in scratch resistance and light resistance and superior in adhesion with an optical substrate and film strength. SOLUTION: The optical member has the optical substrate, the photochromic coating layer applying and curing a curing composition being a compound having a silanol group or a compound having a group generating a silanol group by hydrolysis by an organic silicon compound having the epoxy group on the one-sided terminal of (2) and an organic silicon compound having a radical polymerization functional group on a one-sided terminal of (3) including (1) radical polymerization monomer, (2) an organic silicon compound having an epoxy group on a one-sided terminal, (3) an organic silicon compound having a radical polymerization functional group on a one-sided terminal, (4) an amine compound, (5) a photochromic compound, and (6) a component of a photoinitiator on the optical substrate , and a protection layer applying and curing a protection coating composition including a colloidal inorganic oxide having the organic silicon compound and photocatalyst action on the photochromic coating layer.
