SOLUTION: Although the illumination type sign utilizes solar light energy by emitting a light-emitting body 1 by using power from an accumulation means 3 for accumulating power generated by a solar battery 4 and irradiating a display part with light, high light-emission luminance can be always maintained by power from a commercial power supply 5 by supplying power from the accumulation means 3 and the commercial power supply 5 by a control device 2 even when the accumulation means 3 is discharged and voltage is dropped, so that the illumination type sign can be applied also to a purpose requiring a high solicitation effect.
