Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrooptical device such that an electrooptical panel can accurately be disposed on a frame holding a back light and prevented from shifting in position even after being assembled. SOLUTION: The electrooptical device is equipped with the liquid crystal panel 2 having a liquid crystal layer 8 sandwiched between a pair of substrates 6 and 7, the back light 3 irradiating the back side of the liquid crystal panel 2 with light, and the frame 4 holding the back light 3. The frame 4 has a panel storage part 5 which stores the liquid crystal panel 2 and a positioning part 14 provided at a bottom 5a of the panel storage part 5, and a substrate 6 on the back side of the liquid crystal panel 2 has a positioning part 15 corresponding to the positioning part 14 of the frame 4 and disallows a flank of the liquid crystal panel 2 and a flank of the panel storage part 5 to come into contact with each other while the frame-side positioning part 14 and panel-side positioning part 15 are disposed to store the liquid crystal panel 2 in the panel storage part 5.
