Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure sufficient combustion energy while improving emission performance in realization of homogeneous combustion in a direct injection engine. SOLUTION: A crown surface 260 of a piston 26 is formed in roughly flat. A second cavity 262 extending closely to an outer circumference of the piston 26 along a first cavity 261 is formed in an exhaust side of the first cavity 261 formed on the crown surface 260. Since a flame surface which grows in a roughly spherical shape in the first cavity 261can quickly grow to a bottom part side of the second cavity 262 by riding over to the adjoining second cavity 262, not only time for created flame to ride over a partition wall 263 from the first cavity 261 is shortened but also flame surface area is increased again by the second cavity 262. Consequently, lag of heat release rate and slowness combustion can be prevented and combustion torque can be increased. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
