Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat insulating material for a metal roof, which can be produced by using a polyolefine foam sheet capable of offering a sufficient adhesion when bonding the sheet to a metal roofing material and bending it and also capable of permitting easy fractionation and/or overhaul for the foam sheet and the metal roofing material when overhauling the metal roof even after the metal roof has been exposed to a severe temperature condition. SOLUTION: The heat insulating material comprises a polyolefine foam sheet 10, a film 14 adhered to a surface 12 of the polyolefine foam sheet, and an adhesive layer 16 formed on the film; and it is capable of adhering the adhesive layer to the metal roofing material. A strength of the skin of a film laminating face 18 of the polyolefine foam sheet is to be not lower than 1,000 kPa; and an adhesion of not higher than 1.0 N/cm is required between the adhesive layer and the metal roofing material and between the adhesive layer and other surface 20 of the polyolefine foam sheet.
