Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a manual paper feeding mechanism, facilitate confirming the manual feeding position of the sheets, enhance the reliability of feeding the sheets by manual feeding, and preclude erroneous operation in manual paper feeding. SOLUTION: An image forming device is equipped with an image forming mechanism 2 to form image on one surface and a double-side transporting means to eject part of the sheet with the image formed on its one surface to outside the machine from an delivery hole Pout, followed by switching back, invert the sheet through a double-side transport path, and re-feed to the image forming mechanism, in which a manual feed device to work with the image forming device is structured so that when manual feeding is made, the double-side transporting means feeds the manual feeding sheet from the delivery hole to the image forming mechanism through the double-side transport path. The arrangement further includes a sensor 27 to sense the manual feeding sheet delivered to the delivery hole from outside the machine. When the manual feed sensor 27 senses the sheet, the double-side transporting means starts feeding the sheet from the delivery hole to an image forming means after elapse of the first time Tw3, and stops feeding sheet unless the sensor 21 senses a draw-in sheet even after elapse of the second time Tw4 from the start of feeding.
