PROTECTION DEVICE FOR OCCUPANT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protection device provided with an optimized fixing device. SOLUTION: The protection device (1) for the occupant of the automobile (KF) is movably bonded to the automobile (KF) and has a restriction element (6) for retaining it to a use position (GS) and a bonding device for the restriction element (6) and therefore, the bonding device has upper and lower fixing elements (18, 19). Particularly in order to optimize a condition of the protection device (1), on one hand, the lower fixing devices (18, 19) are provided with a locking device (53) for locking the restriction element (6) at a stationary position (RS) and on the other hand, they are provided with a tension device (54) for maintaining tension of the restriction element (6) to the use position (GS) in relation to the upper fixing devices (16, 17).
