Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for screening for a medicament capable of inhibiting a host translation system by a virus infecting the host without damaging the host cell; and to provide a composition and a kit. SOLUTION: The screening method of an antiviral agent comprises determining whether a candidate medicament interacts with a viral or cellular constituent component enabling or evading preferential translation of a viral RNA when compared with a host RNA under a virus-infected condition, or not, and determining whether one of the interactions of the medicament and the constituent component reduces the translation level of the RNA of the virus, or not.
