Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of picking up images near the center of an optical system while performing processing in a short time for processing even when a long one-dimensional imaging apparatus capable of picking up images of large components is used to pickup images of small components. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus is provided with: a photodetector array 121; a shift register 122 for outputting charges generated by each photodetector to an output part; a shift gate 123 for allowing/disallowing the charges generated by each photodetector to transfer to the shift register; an optical system 125; a first shading means 130a equipped with two shading plates 131 which are arranged at specified gaps and shade both end parts of the photodetector array 121; a second shading means 130b equipped with two shading plates 131 which are arranged at specified gaps and are different in range for shading from the first shading means 130a; and a switching means 137 changing the range for shading the photodetector array 121 by switching the first shading means 130a and the second shading means 130b.
