Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light transmitting and receiving device furnished with a bidirectional optical module, in which the price of the light transmitting and receiving device is suppressed and cross talk is improved. SOLUTION: The light transmitting and receiving device of the present invention is provided with a circuit substrate 1 on which a transmitting and receiving circuit is formed and the bidirectional optical module 2. The circuit substrate 1 has a fixed electric potential region 1b connected to a fixed electric potential. The bidirectional optical module 2 is fixed on the circuit substrate 1 with fixing members (metal fittings 4 and 5). Further, a receiving optical module and a transmitting optical module are integrated in the bidirectional optical module 2.
