Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for giving reciprocating motion to shift fork shafts of a transmission. SOLUTION: In this shift device, pinion gears 22a-22d provided on a shift rotating shaft 15 supported perpendicularly to the shift fork shafts 20a-20d in an only rotatable manner are meshed with a rack 20e of the shift fork shaft and clutch sleeves 23a-23d provided on the shift rotating shaft in an only axially movable manner are elastically energized to one side faces of the pinion gears. Control members 25a-25d engaged with the clutch sleeves are supported to be movable in parallel to the shift rotating shaft, and control protrusions 26a-26d of the control members are made to abut on control discs 30a-30d provided on a select rotating shaft 17 to be turned while being supported in parallel to the shift rotating shaft to isolate the clutch sleeves from the opinion gears.
