Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To materialize an operation device (2) and a method for operating a body part of an automobile (1) and to accomplish easy automatic operation and non-restricted manual operation of the body part. SOLUTION: An electric/mechanical drive unit (9) has at least one first drivable stop element and a transmission unit (10) has at least one second stop element connected to the body part (3). The stop elements are arranged while abutted on each other in order to transmit operation force in a transmission direction and are arranged in transmission directions (29, 30) while left from each other in order to cut off the drive unit (9) from the transmission unit (10).
