Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic radial tire for a passenger vehicle capable of reducing the weight of a tire while maintaining riding comfort and driveability equivalent to a tire having a two-ply carcass. SOLUTION: This pneumatic radial tire includes an auxiliary carcass layer 8 outside a carcass layer 5. The auxiliary carcass layer 8 extends toward a bead portion 2 from the both internal edges 8a of a belt layer 7 and the end 8b is folded back from the inside to the outside of the tire around a bead core 4.
