METHOD OF PUNCHING PHOTOSTIMULABLE PHOSPHOR SHEET, AND PHOTOSTIMULABLE PHOSPHOR SHEET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of punching a photostimulable phosphor sheet which is obtained by forming a photostimulable phosphor layer on a flexible support body, the method being applicable for cutting the photostimulable phosphor sheet into a predetermined product shape in a manner preventing damage to the photostimulable phosphor layer and preventing formation of burrs (especially burrs having a length longer than the total width of the photostimulable phosphor sheet). SOLUTION: The method of punching the photostimulable phosphor sheet is implemented by using a punching device having a cutting blade for cutting the photostimulable phosphor sheet which is obtained by forming the photostimulable phosphor layer on the flexible support body, and a bearing blade, to punch the sheet into a product having a desired size. Herein the cutting edge angle of the cutting blade is set to 75 to 95°, and the cutting edge angle of the bearing blade to 85 to 95°, respectively.
